Bill Leebens spent decades in the room where audio products get launched, reviewed, and marketed. Tj Tomasetti spent years fixing the ones that break. This is what happens when both desks write the same magazine.
Bill founded Copper and edited it for 96 issues. He was Director of Marketing & Communications at PS Audio, and he’s written for Stereophile, Dwell, and others. Tj was PS Audio’s entire service department — the sole service tech — after years on support desks and repair benches, including The Music Room. Same industry. Opposite ends of it.
They’re also family — Bill is Tj’s second dad. That doesn’t change what gets printed. It changes who’s watching it. The bench is real and the editorial is real, and neither of them is going to tell you a story the other knows isn’t true.
The promise
We do not take pay-for-favor. We do not invent measurements, outcomes, or bench experience. We label what is observed, what is documented, what is likely, and what is still waiting for a measurement. The uncertainty stays in because the uncertainty is real. A reader deserves to know which is which.
