Why we do not take pay-for-favor, and what the evidence labels mean.
This magazine is reader-funded and free. That is the point. Our credibility depends on no one paying us to say something nice.
What we will not do
- No pay-for-favor. No manufacturer pays for coverage, and any relationship is disclosed.
- No invented measurements, prices, customer stories, or outcomes. If we did not measure it, we do not print it as measured.
- No guessing dressed as expertise. Where the honest answer needs the bench, we say the bench needs to see it.
Evidence labels
Every piece carries an evidence label: bench-observed, documented, likely, needs-measurement, or cannot-know-from-symptoms-alone. These keep the difference between what we know and what we suspect on the page, on purpose.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we say so. Write to the editors and it goes to the desk.
